HOW TO USE THE MASTER BIBLE STUDY FRAMEWORK IN CHATGPT Setup instructions for Refined edition 15 · November 4, 2026 Includes purposeful consolidation with full content preservation, a complete editorial and content review, exact KJV word and verse labels for original-language explanations, clear study writing with content preservation, and consistent organization for all future studies, one shared study PDF template, the navy and gold PDF standard, readable study PDFs, complete book studies, section-at-a-time studies, the final review, and study copies without separate research source lists. Website: https://biblestudyworkbench.com/ MAIN METHOD: SET UP A CHATGPT PROJECT Set up a Bible Study project once. New chats started inside that project can use the same framework file and study instructions. ALREADY USING THE FRAMEWORK? Download the edition 15 plain-text framework from the website, replace the old framework file in your project's Sources with this new file, and save the current Project Instructions shown below. WHAT YOU NEED A ChatGPT account with access to Projects and file uploads. Setup means uploading the framework document and saving the project instructions; no separate framework software installation is needed. Menu names may vary between the website and app. LET CHATGPT HELP YOU SET UP On the website, select Start setup in ChatGPT to open ChatGPT with the setup request already filled in. Sign in if needed, review the request, and press Send. If ChatGPT opens without the request, return to the website, select Copy setup request, then paste it into ChatGPT and press Send. The request tells ChatGPT to explain the setup and get your permission before changing project files or instructions. Direct setup depends on the tools available in your chat; when it cannot make the changes, it should guide you through the steps. Each person sets up their own Bible Study project in their own ChatGPT account. You can also copy this request yourself and open https://chatgpt.com/: Help me set up the Master Bible Study Framework, Refined edition 15, in my own ChatGPT account. First explain what you can do directly and what I need to do, then ask for my permission before making changes. Use the complete framework at https://biblestudyworkbench.com/downloads/master-bible-study-framework.txt and the Project Instructions at https://biblestudyworkbench.com/#project-instructions. Help me choose or create a Bible Study project, add the complete framework to its Sources, and save the Project Instructions. Ask before deleting existing files or replacing saved instructions. If you cannot read the complete framework or access the project controls, tell me and guide me one step at a time. When finished, confirm which steps are actually complete and anything I still need to do. The manual setup steps below remain available if you prefer to follow them yourself. OPEN OR DOWNLOAD CHATGPT You can open ChatGPT in your browser without installing an app: https://chatgpt.com/ If you prefer an app, use an official link for your device: Mac: https://chatgpt.com/download/ Windows PC: https://chatgpt.com/download/ iPhone and iPad (App Store): https://apps.apple.com/app/chatgpt/id6448311069 Android phones and tablets (Google Play): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.openai.chatgpt The Mac and Windows links open OpenAI’s download page. Check the download page or app store for current device requirements, then follow the framework setup steps below. 1. DOWNLOAD THE FULL FRAMEWORK Download Master Bible Study Framework.txt from the website and save it on your device. Use the complete file, including all 20 sections and the Guiding Principles at the end. 2. CREATE YOUR BIBLE STUDY PROJECT AND UPLOAD THE FILE Open https://chatgpt.com/ and sign in or create an account. Choose New project and name it Bible Study. In the project's Sources section, use Add files or the upload option to add the downloaded framework file. Check that it appears in Sources. Upload it at the project level; a file attached only to a chat message is not the project-level upload used here. 3. SAVE THE PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS Open the project's menu and choose Add instructions, or open the project settings and look for Instructions. Paste this instruction into that box and save it: For Bible study requests in this project, read and follow the uploaded Master Bible Study Framework.txt in full, including all 20 sections and the Guiding Principles. Before presenting each study, check the complete draft against all 20 sections of the framework and the Guiding Principles. Correct omissions, unsupported claims, and departures from the framework before answering. If a requirement cannot be met or an important claim cannot be verified, state that limitation clearly. Preserve the study’s natural flow and depth. Omit separate research-source lists and bibliographies; keep biblical cross-references, study content and necessary inline attribution, and verify claims. Keep a clickable Contents link in every PDF page footer; omit end-of-section “Back to top” links. Write clear, natural prose with direct wording, connected paragraphs, smooth transitions, and varied sentence rhythm. Give each framework component a distinct purpose; avoid needless restatement and repetitive cautions. Explain technical terms plainly. Review composition while preserving every substantive explanation, quotation, distinction, qualification, and the full study's depth. For each original-language term, first quote the exact KJV word or phrase and its verse reference, paired with the original term and transliteration. Distinguish dictionary forms, comparison words, and textual variants; verify the match. Address real misunderstandings; label inference and uncertainty. Review every revision for preserved claims, then read continuously and verify exported text, layout and links. Within each verse group, give explanations a primary home; later components add their own contribution or useful recap. Preserve and map every point. When I send only a Bible reference or paste a verse or passage without another request, treat it as a request to study that passage using the full framework. If the passage is unclear, ask me for its reference. When we study a book one section at a time and I say “next,” “continue,” “go on,” “move on,” “next verses,” “next group,” or “move to the next naturally grouped verses” in the same chat, continue with the next natural group of verses in that book after the last verses studied, using the full framework. Group verses according to the author’s flow of thought, keeping related verses together. Identify their reference before beginning. When studying a book in order, give its general introduction once, or treat an introduction already completed in this study as established. Carry that background forward without repeating general authorship, date, audience, purpose, or historical setting unless it explains the current verses, needs correction, or I request it. Begin each continuation with a brief connection to the argument so far and include the immediate context needed for the new verses. Preserve the full framework's depth. For a random verse or separate study, include the relevant book background and surrounding context again. State uncertainty clearly when background details are not firmly established. When I explicitly request a complete study of an entire book, study it from first verse to last unless I specify a different starting point, using naturally grouped verses and applying the complete framework to each group with the same depth as an individual section study. Give the book introduction once, keep the running argument and a record of verses actually completed, and begin substantive study after any provisional outline. Proceed through successive groups without asking me to request each one while the available tools and response capacity allow. Do not substitute an overview or shorten later groups to fit one response. If an actual limit requires another message, state that the study is incomplete, identify the last completed verses, any unfinished group, and the next reference, and give the continuation request needed to resume the whole-book task. When resuming, finish any incomplete group before advancing to the next natural group. Do not claim unfinished work is complete or promise background work the available tools cannot perform. Incorporate earlier studies only when their full content is available and reviewed. Before reporting completion, verify that every verse has been covered and all groups satisfy the framework, then add a concluding account of the book's argument and teaching. If the requested study begins partway through a book, identify the portion completed and distinguish it from verified coverage of the entire book. When requested and file-creation tools are available, combine the complete analyses into the requested formats, preserving biblical cross-references and clearly labeling partial work or missing material. For a complete-book PDF, include a readable, hyperlinked table of contents whose entries jump to the book introduction, each naturally grouped verse section labeled with its reference, and the major concluding or reference sections present. Verify the internal links in the exported PDF; disclose any inability to create or verify them. Requests for particular verses or one section retain section-at-a-time study. A normal next request advances one group unless a whole-book study is already underway. Honor a later request to pause, change the starting point, or switch between a complete-book study and section-at-a-time study. Format every downloadable study PDF for comfortable sustained reading: use a clear font, body text at least 12 points, approximately 1.35 to 1.5 line spacing, paragraph spacing, generous margins, and a single column of left-aligned text. Use dark text on a plain white or very light background with strong contrast and restrained, consistent accents. Avoid faint gray text, tiny notes, crowded pages, decorative backgrounds, and long sections of light text on dark fills. Preserve the full study; add pages instead of shrinking or condensing it. Keep quotations, Greek and Hebrew, tables, source notes, and links legible. Inspect the exported PDF for clipping, overlap, missing characters, and awkward breaks; preserve searchable, selectable text and working hyperlinks, including complete-book contents links. State any inability to inspect the exported layout or links. Honor requested larger-print or other reading preferences; do not promise that one design prevents eye strain for everyone. Use a consistent navy and gold design by default for every study PDF, including section studies, whole-book studies, and new PDF copies of existing studies: deep navy (#17354A) titles, major headings, navigation, and source links; muted gold (#A78648) used sparingly for fine rules or small accents; very dark charcoal (#242424) main text on a plain very light cream page background (#FFFCF5); very pale blue-gray (#F1F5F8) Scripture panels when useful; pale table headings (#E9F0F4) with dark navy text and visible light borders. Keep smaller headings clear and links distinguishable without relying on color alone. Preserve all readability, complete-content and verified clickable-contents requirements. Honor requested larger print, spacing, grayscale, or other color preferences, and inspect the exported styling or disclose any inability to do so. Prefer 13-point body, quotation, note, and table text with 1.5 line spacing, 8-point paragraph gaps, and about 1-inch side margins; aim for 65–80 characters per full prose line. Give quotation panels 5–6 points of padding. Underline source and Contents links. Review the overall design and regenerate and verify navigation after reflow. Use one layout for all future studies. Include only study material; omit edition/style/production notes and recipient names. If the book is finished, say so. If the book or stopping point is unclear, ask me before continuing. If you cannot access and read the complete file, tell me before beginning. Do not claim to have read a file you cannot access. 4. CHECK YOUR SETUP WITH A FIRST STUDY Open your Bible Study project and start a new chat there. Send this first-study request to check that ChatGPT can read the complete framework: Before beginning, confirm that you can read the complete Master Bible Study Framework.txt in this project, including all 20 sections and its Guiding Principles. Then use the full framework to study 2 Timothy 2:15. If you cannot read the complete file, tell me before starting. Replace 2 Timothy 2:15 with the passage you want to study. AFTER SETUP: JUST ENTER A REFERENCE OR VERSE Open your Bible Study project, start a new chat, and type the reference you want to study. For example: 2 Timothy 2:15 Romans 8:1–4 Psalm 23 You can also paste the verse or passage itself. Press Send, and your saved project instructions tell ChatGPT to study it using the complete framework. You do not need to paste the framework or repeat the long setup request each time. Keep the framework file in the project's Sources. If ChatGPT says it cannot read the full file, check Sources before continuing. STUDY A WHOLE BOOK OR ONE SECTION AT A TIME For a complete book study, send: Complete an entire study of Romans using the Bible Study Framework. Replace Romans with the book you want to study. This requests a study from the first verse to the last, using naturally grouped verses and the complete framework for every group. If you choose a later starting point, the completed portion should be identified as a range study until the earlier verses have also been studied and reviewed. Each group should receive the same depth as an individual section study. ChatGPT should begin the actual study after any provisional outline and keep a record of the verses it has completed. CONTINUING A COMPLETE BOOK STUDY ChatGPT should proceed through successive groups while the available tools and response capacity allow. A full study may span several responses. If a limit requires another message, it should clearly say the study is incomplete, identify the last completed verses, any unfinished group, and the next starting point, and give the continuation request needed to resume the whole-book task. An unfinished group should be completed before advancing. This instruction cannot guarantee completion in one response or background work. Later groups should retain the full study depth. FOR ONE SECTION AT A TIME Send: “Study Romans from the beginning, one naturally grouped section at a time, using the full framework.” You can also request particular verses, such as Romans 8:1–4. In section-at-a-time study, use any of these phrases in that same chat to move to the next natural group of verses in biblical order: next, continue, go on, move on, next verses, next group, or move to the next naturally grouped verses. Each group should follow the author’s flow of thought and keep related verses together. Each study should begin by identifying its verse reference. During a complete book study, a continuation resumes that whole-book task. BOOK BACKGROUND IS ESTABLISHED ONCE The framework gives the general book introduction once, or uses an introduction already completed in that study. Later studies briefly connect the new verses to the argument so far, then focus on those verses. General authorship, date, audience, purpose, and historical setting are revisited when they help explain the current verses, need correction, or you ask for them. Each continuation still uses the complete framework with its normal depth. For a random verse or separate study, the relevant book background and surrounding context are included again. Uncertain background details should be identified clearly. CHECK COMPLETION BEFORE COMBINING THE STUDY Every verse must be covered and all groups reviewed against the framework before the book study is called complete. When file-creation tools are available, you can request one combined Word, PDF, or text copy of the full analyses. Partial files and missing material should be identified clearly. Omit separate research source lists, bibliographies, and reference-index appendices; keep biblical cross-references and necessary inline attribution. A complete book PDF should have a readable, clickable table of contents linking to the introduction, every naturally grouped verse section labeled with its reference, and the major concluding or reference sections present. The links should be checked in the exported PDF, and any inability to create or verify them should be stated clearly. Keep using the same chat for that book. You can ask to pause, change the starting point, or switch study options. If you start a new chat, include the book, the study option you chose, the last verses completed, and any study material needed to continue from the right place. SAVE YOUR STUDY AS WORD, PDF, OR TEXT After ChatGPT finishes your study, you can ask for a downloadable copy of your completed study. These are files made from your study in ChatGPT, separate from the framework downloads on the website. PURPOSEFUL CONSOLIDATION The framework gives each substantial explanation a primary home within its natural verse group. Later components add their own evidence, implications or purposeful recap while preserving the distinct work of interpretation, application, synthesis and the developing book argument. Every consolidated point is traced to its final wording and location; necessary warnings, quotations, qualifications and depth remain. CLEAR STUDY WRITING Studies should use clear, natural English, connected explanations, and purposeful summaries. The framework calls for a writing review that improves flow and reduces needless repetition while preserving all substantive study content and depth. When an existing study is polished, its revised text should be compared with the complete source to protect quotations, evidence, qualifications, and explanations. COMPLETE EDITORIAL REVIEW The framework calls for a complete editorial and content review: each framework component adds something distinct, cautions address plausible misunderstandings, and conclusions distinguish explicit wording from inference. Revisions preserve substantive explanations, evidence, qualifications, and depth through a documented comparison with the complete source. Finished files are checked for readable layout and working navigation. WORDS IN THE VERSE Original-language explanations identify the exact KJV word or phrase and its verse reference before explaining the corresponding Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek term. Dictionary forms, comparison words, and textual variants are distinguished so readers can see which wording is being discussed. PDFS FOR COMFORTABLE READING The framework calls for a clear font with body text at least 12 points, approximately 1.35 to 1.5 line spacing, space between paragraphs, generous margins, and a single column of left-aligned text. Use dark text on a plain white or very light background, with strong contrast and restrained colors. Preserve the complete study by adding pages instead of shrinking or condensing it. You can request larger print or other reading preferences. The exported layout should be inspected, and any inability to inspect it should be stated clearly. STANDARD PDF DESIGN Future study PDFs use navy titles, major headings, navigation, and source links, with small gold accents and very dark charcoal (#242424) main text on a plain very light cream page background (#FFFCF5). Pale blue-gray Scripture panels and table headings may help organize the page. Links remain distinguishable without relying on color alone. The reading layout prefers 13-point text, 1.5 line spacing, clear paragraph gaps, and generous margins, with padded quotation panels and underlined links. Covers, heading levels, tables, and navigation are reviewed for a balanced, uncluttered design. This design applies to a single group of verses, a complete book, and new PDF copies of existing studies. You can request larger print, different spacing, grayscale, or another color treatment. CONSISTENT STUDY PRESENTATION Use a consistent organization for every future study, including corresponding headings, verse-analysis lead-ins, and summary components. For study PDFs, use one shared template across books for covers, headers and footers, headings, Scripture panels, verse labels, contents, and spacing. Include only the study itself: its title, Scripture references, contents, introduction, analysis, and conclusions, with necessary attribution inline. Omit framework edition labels, formatting or production explanations, and recipient attributions. Compare corresponding pages before delivery to check that the common layout was actually applied. The framework includes the fixed layout specifications for covers, typography, spacing, Scripture panels, lists, tables, and navigation. CONTENTS FOOTER NAVIGATION Keep the clickable table of contents and a small underlined navy “Contents” link at the bottom of every study PDF page. It returns to the study’s table of contents; in a complete book study, it returns to the book’s table of contents. Use equivalent internal Contents links in formatted Word copies when supported. Check contents entries and footer links after export. Omit end-of-section “Back to top” links. A separately saved section study includes a compact contents list. Plain text keeps the headings and contents text without clickable internal navigation. FOR A COMPLETE BOOK PDF Request a readable, clickable table of contents. Its entries should jump to the book introduction, each naturally grouped verse section labeled with its reference, and the major concluding or reference sections present. ChatGPT should verify those links in the exported PDF and disclose any inability to create or verify them. 1. In the same chat, ask for a Word document (.docx), a PDF, a plain-text file (.txt), or all three. Use the request below and remove any formats you do not want. 2. When ChatGPT provides the files, select each file’s download link or Download button and save the file on your device. On a phone or tablet, look for Download or Save in the file preview. 3. Open each saved file and check that it includes the complete study, including the final sections and biblical cross-references, before printing or sharing it. Check that separate research source lists, bibliographies, and reference-index appendices have been omitted. Test any retained inline hyperlinks in Word and PDF. For a complete book PDF, also test the table-of-contents links and check that they open the correct sections. Request to copy into your study chat: Create downloadable Word (.docx), PDF, and plain-text (.txt) files of the complete study we just finished. Preserve all substantive study sections, headings, Bible quotations, verse references, and table contents. Omit separate Sources or Source Notes sections, per-section research lists, bibliographies, research-URL lists, and reference-index appendices. Keep biblical cross-references and necessary attribution inline; keep any retained inline hyperlinks clickable in Word and PDF. Format every PDF for comfortable sustained reading with a clear font, body text at least 12 points, approximately 1.35 to 1.5 line spacing, paragraph spacing, generous margins, and a single column of left-aligned dark text on a plain white or very light background. Use strong contrast and restrained colors. Apply the framework’s standard navy and gold design: deep navy titles, major headings, navigation, and source links; small muted gold accents; very dark charcoal (#242424) main text on a plain very light cream page background (#FFFCF5); and pale blue-gray Scripture panels and table headings when useful. Prefer 13-point main text with 1.5 line spacing, about 8 points between ordinary paragraphs, about 1-inch side margins, and roughly 65 to 80 characters per full prose line. Keep quotations, notes, and table text similarly readable, give quotation panels 5 to 6 points of padding, and underline source and Contents links. Review the cover, heading hierarchy, page density, tables, and navigation for a balanced, uncluttered design. Keep the consistent study organization, including corresponding headings, verse-analysis lead-ins, and summary components. Apply one shared PDF template across books for covers, headers and footers, headings, Scripture panels, verse labels, contents, and spacing. Follow the fixed layout specifications in the uploaded framework for corresponding elements. Keep the clickable table of contents and add a small underlined navy “Contents” hyperlink in the footer of every PDF page, pointing to the study’s table of contents; for a complete book, link to the book’s table of contents. Use equivalent internal Contents links in Word when supported. Omit end-of-section “Back to top” links. Include a compact contents list in a separately saved section study. Verify contents entries and footer links after export; plain text retains headings and contents text. Include only the study itself, with no framework edition labels, formatting or production explanations, or recipient attributions. Keep links distinguishable without relying on color alone, and honor requested grayscale or other color preferences. Add pages instead of shrinking or condensing the study, and honor any larger-print or other reading preferences I request. Inspect the exported layout for clipping, overlap, missing characters, and awkward breaks; state any inability to inspect it. If this is a complete book study, give the PDF a readable, clickable table of contents linking to its introduction, every naturally grouped verse section labeled with its reference, and the major concluding or reference sections present. Verify those links in the exported PDF and disclose any inability to create or verify them. Continue verifying factual claims while preparing the study; keep working research records outside the finished study. Do not invent facts or links. Do not summarize or omit content. Give me the file download links. If you cannot create these files in this chat, tell me. ABOUT TEXT FILES Plain text keeps the words and table contents, but it does not preserve the visual formatting of a Word document or PDF. IF THE CHAT CANNOT CREATE A DOWNLOADABLE FILE Copy the full study into Microsoft Word or a compatible word processor. Use its Save As, Export, or Download options, as available, to save a .docx copy or export a PDF. For a .txt copy, paste the complete study into a plain-text editor and save it as a text file. Open the saved copy and check it for missing sections. File-creation options depend on the tools available in your ChatGPT chat. Official ChatGPT help for working with files: https://learn.chatgpt.com/docs/artifacts-viewer FOR FUTURE STUDIES Start a new chat inside the same Bible Study project for a different study. To continue a section-at-a-time study, stay in that book's existing chat and say “next.” For a paused complete book study, use the continuation request provided in that chat. The shared file and instructions apply within the project; this does not install the framework across your whole account. KEEP THE FRAMEWORK IN SOURCES Upload it once and leave it there for future project chats. When you download a newer edition, replace the old framework file in Sources with the updated file. OPTIONAL: USE A REGULAR CHAT INSTEAD Open the complete plain-text framework, click inside it, select all, and copy. Include all 20 sections and the Guiding Principles. Windows: Ctrl + A to select all, Ctrl + C to copy, and Ctrl + V to paste. Mac: Command + A to select all, Command + C to copy, and Command + V to paste. Start a regular ChatGPT chat, paste the full framework into the message box, and send it. Then send this instruction: Before presenting each study, check the complete draft against all 20 sections of the framework and the Guiding Principles. Correct omissions, unsupported claims, and departures from the framework before answering. If a requirement cannot be met or an important claim cannot be verified, state that limitation clearly. Preserve the study’s natural flow and depth. After that, ask it to study your verse or naturally grouped verses using the complete framework. Keep using that chat, or paste the full framework and final-check instruction again whenever you start a new regular chat. ON A PHONE OR TABLET For the optional copy-and-paste method, press and hold in the complete text, choose Select All and Copy, then paste it into the message box. A CHECK BEFORE EACH ANSWER The saved project instruction tells ChatGPT to review each study against the complete framework and correct problems before presenting it. ChatGPT can still make mistakes or miss instructions. Review the study against Scripture and the complete framework. If a section is missing or a claim lacks support, ask: “Recheck this study against the full framework, identify anything missed, and correct unsupported claims.” Official ChatGPT Projects help: https://learn.chatgpt.com/docs/projects
